What Should I Know About Low THC Oil?
The State of Georgia has legalized the medical use of low-THC oil (cannabidiol or cannabis oil) for alternative treatment of certain approved medical conditions in children and adults, including:
- Cancer
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- Seizure disorders
- Multiple sclerosis
- Crohn’s disease
- Mitochondrial disease
- Parkinson’s disease*
- Sickle cell disease**
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Tourette's syndrome
- Epidermolysis bullosa
- Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
- Peripheral neuropathy
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta supports clinical research to investigate the use of medical cannabis, but there is currently limited information about how low THC oil use affects patients. With regard to the possession of low THC oil while at a Children’s facility or location, we aim to comply fully with all governing laws and regulations, and to cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies as well as regulatory bodies.
