  • Check-in at the security desk located in the main lobby. After checking in, you will receive a badge that should be visibly worn above your waist at all times while in the hospital. This badge provides access to the area of the hospital where your child’s appointment will take place.

The future of Egleston’s campus has yet to be determined.

Arthur M. Blank Hospital is located on Children’s North Druid Hills campus at the corner of North Druid Hills Road and I-85 in Brookhaven. The address is 2220 North Druid Hills Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.

Arthur M. Blank Hospital stands 19 stories tall with 2 million square feet of hospital space. It features:

  • 446 licensed beds, 116 more beds than Egleston Hospital had previously.
  • 70,000 square-foot Emergency Department—nearly three times the ED space at Egleston. The Emergency Department has 69 emergency exam rooms, including six trauma rooms.
  • 55,000 square-foot Radiology Department—more than double the square footage at Egleston
  • 98 patient beds dedicated to children with cancer and blood disorders—20% of all patient rooms.
  • 84 pediatric cardiac beds—25% more than Egleston.
  • 22 operating rooms, including three specially designed cardiovascular operating rooms.

With an Emergency Department, state-of-the-art operating rooms, infusion center and advanced diagnostic equipment, Arthur M. Blank Hospital is home to many clinical specialties, including cancer and blood disorders, cardiac, critical care, neurosciences, orthopedics, lab, radiology, transplant and much more.

Arthur M. Blank Hospital is also a place for groundbreaking new innovations and services. There is a Special Care Unit for the treatment of patients with highly infectious diseases, three cardiovascular operating rooms, and an inpatient dialysis unit.

Extra consideration was put into patient and family amenities throughout our new hospital. Arthur M. Blank Hospital offers larger, private rooms so parents and caregivers can comfortably stay with their child. Additional amenities include kitchenettes, child life activity rooms, laundry facilities on every floor, dedicated sleeping rooms and a business center. The hospital’s playgrounds, playrooms, libraries and school-support spaces also allow kids to be kids. View amenities at Arthur M. Blank Hospital.

Children’s North Druid Hills campus includes Arthur M. Blank Hospital along with an adjacent South Tower, in addition to the existing Center for Advanced Pediatrics and staff Support Center.

The North Druid Hills campus spans more than 70 acres and offers more than 20 acres of greenspace, which allows for exposure to nature and healing views from patient rooms. Approximately 1,200 new trees and shrubs were planted on the hospital campus.

We studied extensively whether it was possible to expand on the Egleston campus; however, there was no further opportunity to grow. As we looked at future demand and facility capacity required to meet the projected 10-year and 20-year needs of Georgia’s children and their families, Children’s determined a new campus at North Druid Hills—along with sustained growth over time at Scottish Rite—provides our System with the footprint needed to grow.

Parking decks at Arthur M. Blank Hospital provide families with quick access to the hospital and enhanced navigation. There are two parking decks, providing more than 4,700 parking spaces. The visitor parking deck serves as the primary parking deck for patient families and visitors while the emergency parking deck is reserved for families seeking care in our ER. Children’s North Druid Hills campus is served by multiple MARTA bus routes. Lean more about public transportation and rideshare services.
