Introduction
Timotheus Watson, MD, is a native of Norfolk, VA. He received an undergraduate degree in Biology at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, and then attended medical school at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He remained in Cleveland to complete his pediatric residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He completed his cardiology training at the Medical University of South Carolina with an additional year focusing on advance cardiac imaging (echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, and intraoperative echocardiography). He is currently the director of the City Call Program, which consists of over 20 pediatric cardiologists that provide care at over 20 regional hospitals. Dr. Watson takes great pride in managing the City Call Program understanding the positive impact of providing families with cardiac care close to their home and a family can obtain a clear understanding of the heart condition before they leave the hospital. Dr. Watson assists in helping patients with a variety of heart conditions ranging from prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease to genetic cholesterol disorders. He is amazed by the resiliency of children with heart disease and feels honored to work in a field of medicine devoted to helping children overcome medical obstacles related to their heart condition. Dr. Watson is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships with families and is known for spending extra the time to ensure caregivers understand their child’s heart condition. He enjoys traveling with his family and is an avid Atlanta sports fan.
